All they want is a white face in the classroom so they can milk parents for their children's English Program

This is extremely true. I remember how much was put into making the brochure and advert boards for the teachers that were at our Anuban. They pictures were all staged, none of what was shown in these things was even remotely true. The kids in the pictures were acting out of fear of the administrators that were there. In the end the brochure and adverts were total lies and like you said, the objective was to get the money in the door, they don't really care about the education. Some of the students in my school are actually pretty clever and when I talk to them about all the extra lessons that they have to do it is easy to understand why.

I readily admit that I am completely unqualified for my job and none of the teachers at my school have backgrounds in education. We are, as you say, white faces for the adverts and that's basically it. Rock the boat too much and you will get thrown out of it.

I actually gave up a long time ago as far as trying to get the students to learn more because we will get reprimanded from deviating from the absurd curriculum that someone in an office who has no idea what Thai schools are actually like created.

now I just go through the motions, any sort of ideals I had about making a difference are long gone.
