Furnished apartments are really not a thing here but when you do get some scraps left behind they tend to be shite like you have in your pictures. Lol, that kind of looks like a brothel of sorts or the giant thing in the "living room" is covering up some sort of water damage. You would be very hard-pressed to so much as find a place here in Chiang Mai that goes for $1000 a month, but the increased cost of everything else in life here probably ends up balancing it out. I have heard that Da Nang is very affordable for most everything else.
