Plumbing in a small town in Alaska is a difficult pursuit, it can take weeks for proper parts to ship in and you'd better just hope you have a large enough stock.
In this photo I was reaching inside a wall to find the best route to re-plumb, replacing the old copper piping with new pex lines, the silver is an outdated forced air heating vent and of course the copper and green colored pipes are the old piping.
all this is on the second story and the boiler is in the basement so we had to go through three floors, we ended up attaching the new pipe to the old pipe and pulling it up a few feet at a time then chopping off the copper so we could pull more upwards.
