I really enjoyed reading this. I always thought swans were peaceful and harmless because they look so graceful, so I was surprised to learn that mute swans are considered an invasive species in New York. It was interesting to read both sides of the story. The photos of the swan family and the cygnets were beautiful, and it was nice that your daughter was able to observe them from a respectful distance.
