At first glance these creatures might look like midget but they are actually Smater than you think.
Apart from their intelligence, One of the unique features about penguins is their feather.
Through the help of their feather they can jet through water and leap into an ice shelf at an amazing speed.
But how do they do it.
The emperor penguin 馃惂 traps air in its feathers. Not only do the feathers insulate the bird in extreme cold but it also enables it to move two or three times faster than it otherwise could.
How? Marine biologist have suggested that it does so by releasing tiny air bubbles from between it's unique feathers.
As these bubbles are released, they help reduce friction in the surface of the penguins plumage, enabling the bird to accelerate.
What a marvel of God's creation.
I think this is a veylry great idea on how to make ships go faster by using bubbles to reduce friction against their hulls.
But this is not an easy because the complexity of the penguins plumage would be very difficult to to replicate in a man-made porous membrane mesh.
But anything is possible.
