As an early millennial, I have witnessed all the changes from back then to the present day. I agree with what some of my peers are saying: life was simpler back then. Of course, there are advantages to the current technology we have now, but it has its disadvantages too. I remember when we used to play outdoors as kids. Now, kids prefer to be in front of their gadgets rather than playing outside, resulting in a lack of physical activity.
Last night, we experienced harsh weather with heavy rain. I was afraid the flood would become deep overnight, but after around 8 hours of non-stop rain, it calmed down. The weather remained calm for a few hours, then it started raining heavily again. The road became submerged. After about 5 hours of continuous rain, we continued to have occasional heavy and light showers throughout the day.
Yesterday, we went to the city, which we hadn't been able to do for more than two weeks. The bad weather kept us cooped up at home, so our activities were mostly done virtually. The weather improved two days ago, so we were able to go back to the city yesterday. We took this route to our Kingdom Hall for our weekend meeting in sign language, and the road was dry at the time. However, when we headed home four hours later, it was submerged due to heavy rain and high tide.
