I went out for a walk again today, and I am really starting to enjoy this routine. Late afternoon has proven to be the best time to head out, mostly because the heat is pretty intense between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Even though it is still quite warm after 4:00 PM, the temperature at least begins to drop to a manageable level. It also helps that this area is close to the beach, so there is usually a refreshing coastal breeze blowing in to cool things down.
Right now, it is still the perfect place for a stroll because the grass remains vibrant and green. However, with the drought already taking its toll, it is highly likely that everything will eventually dry up and turn brown. I am just holding out hope that it won't get too bad.
