Development is still ongoing in our town. While the progress is noticeable, there is a collective hope that these changes will truly live up to expectations and fulfill the local government’s promises. The community still vividly remembers the backlash following the removal of more than 200 trees to make way for these projects. Although replanting efforts have begun, it will take years before these young trees can provide any real shade or environmental shelter.
Meanwhile, a new mall and a hotel are currently under construction adjacent to the new government building. While these commercial spaces will surely generate substantial revenue for the local economy, they also highlight a pressing concern: long-term maintenance. Many existing government establishments in our area are often neglected, making it crucial that the authorities prioritize upholding these new structures rather than letting them fall into disrepair.
