We drove down these same roads on our trip to Zambales five months ago, and back then, everything looked completely dried out. It must have been the height of summer because the grass and plants were so parched that the landscape wasn't very pleasant to look at.
This time around, the view is entirely different—everything is beautifully lush and green. We have the recent rainfall to thank for it; luckily, it wasn’t a destructive storm or a heavy monsoon, just the perfect amount of good rain to bring the environment back to life.
