Hi Wednesday Walkers. I usually post in Hive Pets but momma said I could take over tonight and tell you about our walk in my grandpa's neighborhood. We went on it just a couple of hours ago.

We are staying at my grandpa's house this week just because. Momma and I can do that now because momma runs her own business. I have a job there too. I am the Chief of Peace and Wellness (Chief PaW). I take my job very seriously and that means making sure momma gets out from behind that evil computer sometimes and plays with me and goes for walks.
In November, we are walking at least 1 mile every day together to raise money for kids at St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I love kids. They shouldn't have to feel bad. Momma says sometimes the world just isn't fair so we do what we can to make it a little better.
My grandpa lives on a street with the word Meadow in its name so when he and my grandma moved here, my momma nicknamed this house "The Meadow". Grandpa lives here now with my aunt Susie. I love both of them very much and love to come and visit them. I never got to meet grandma.

There are LOTS of squirrels and bunnies and a couple of neighborhood cats that I get to talk to and play with. There is a huge fenced in yard in the back of the house and I can run and play in as much as I want. Sometimes deer walk right up to the fence and talk to me. Grandpa is especially good at throwing my ball for me so I try to convince him to do that at least 20 times every day.

Another doggo lives at this house. His humans walk him without a leash on. When they know I'm here though they put a leash on him when they walk. He hasn't played with other doggos much so he doesn't really want to play with me. I loved running through the leaves everyone has piled up by the street to be picked up on trash day later this week.
Momma really likes the color orange so we stopped and took a photo of this tree.

The yellow tree caught momma's eye in this photo. We took this picture on our first loop, but by the time we got through our second loop, the house's owner - a nice man named Chuck who momma knows from when she used to live in this town - was out on his mower chopping up and picking up all the leaves. He stopped for a minute and said hi to us though.
Chuck's house and the grey house are the two most interesting houses on the block. Both have, at different times over the years, appraised for two or three times what the other 15 - 20 houses in this little neighborhood have appraised for. The grey house had fallen into terrible disrepair over the last five years but the new coat of paint has definitely helped freshen it up and there is always some work going on there right now.
Momma took the picture of me at the top of this post in the yard there. Momma always thought this house and yard would be a photographer's dream because there are some great trees, water features, and landscaping features. If someone restores all of that and doesn't just tear it out - it will be beautiful again.

We walked out onto the main road that you turn off of to come into the neighborhood to get this picture. Momma loves that red tree very much. The little creek runs right behind the grey house and then winds a bit behind a big field behind Chuck's house before it veers off to another neighborhood.
We did two loops which is exactly one mile so our mission was accomplished and then momma made dinner for her and grandpa. I got kibble as usual but momma also gave me a bone filled with peanut butter! It tasted so good.
I hope you enjoyed my little tour of my grandpa's neighborhood tonight.
