In the course of our daily life, we meet many people who have different set of beliefs. In life we try to be considerate of those beliefs. We've all had people push their religions on us, and we first came into ECK, perhaps we did the same thing. But pretty soon you find that if you push your beliefs on others, you become fair game for them to do it to you.
Some people can be pesky. We feel that we never are, of course; we're just speaking truth. Since our truth is better than theirs, they should back of and let us do most of the talking. After all, high quality earns the right to longer speech. This is actually how some people see it.
It's funny how this divine principle of the Holy Spirit works. Sometimes you feel so tired that you wonder, How can i take one more step? The best answer you can think of is, I need to rest; I need someone to rub my shoulder or speak kindly to me. But the Holy Spirit may have quite a different solution in store for you, and at first you might be slow to understand.
As you give off yourself - your patience and your love - to someone else who needs it more, a change takes place withing you. A flow of good feeling comes in as a spiritual upliftment occurs, not only for you but for the person who needed the patience and understanding more than you did.
So what have I to give? Often it's as simple as patience, love, and understanding. Life goes at such a fast pace, especially during the workday, that we're almost always running. when suddenly we come across who isn't able to keep pace, it's very easy to become angry and impatient. This is why there's so much trouble among people.
