History is fallible because it is recorded by those who are still striving for Divine love. So history is subject to interpretation. Yet divine love is what we are in this world to learn. Earth is a school. It is a class room of God.
Many people believe that Satan is evil. It's hard to understand why God, the all-powerful, would allow Satan, a powerful but evil angel, to exist. Wouldn't it be as easy as stepping on an ant for God to put Satan aside?
What people don't understand is that even Satan is an agent of God. His purpose is to give test in which people are confronted by a negative situation, to see whether or not they really have reached a higher spiritual state. If they have, they won't fail the test; if they haven't, they will fail the test. This is why Satan exist.
I haven't heard a better explanation or defense for Satan. Not too many people have come up with a good reason why God hasn't stomped on Satan. This is because Satan is part of the divine training program on earth.
