[Let's Play] Minecraft Hardcore Survival #15 - Back on track
Hello everyone! I'm sorry that I didn't post these past 2 days, I was just a bit busy and out of pictures to provide to you. Now I'm ready to continue this series, with 2 episodes ahead already planned + I will be streaming on Vimm everyday at 12:00 GMT if you want to watch there. Streams will always be a bit ahead of these posts.
In this episode of Minecraft Hardcore I built a fishing bay, worked some more on the construction of my main house and did some mining at the end and got very close to dying. Hope you enjoy it!
Episode #15 - Back on track
We're starting the episode with me making a stairway down to the area where the fishing bay will be. I think I made the stairs last episode and in this one I added fences and some "support" beams to make it look nicer.
And this is the fishing bay itself. Nothing fancy just some small area to have when I want to fish. Maybe later I'll add some more details into it.
After doing that I came back to the house to start working on the walls. I tried mixing stone bricks with regular bricks, but this didn't work out very well so I had to change the design. I also added a glass windows to lookout on the world from up here ;)
With the regular bricks on top it feels better for me, and its not that randomized of a pattern.
I don't really remember why I took this screenshot, I think it was to keep track of the coordinates of my base or something like this If I ever get lost.
After this I decided to go looking for some diamonds and other stuff, so I headed down the mine.
As we were already in version 1.17.1 and they updated the generation of diamond ore to be a bit more common than the previous one, I decided to take one of the tunnels that we haven't explored yet. This way I'll go faster into the chunks that are newly generated and find diamonds faster.
Finding lapis is always good, not that it has many uses in the game. Just in real life this is my favorite gemstone ;)
After about 10 minutes of digging straight, I hit a cave.
After exploring for some time and collecting resources I stumbled upon this spider, but it was a strange one. It seems that it somehow became invisible. I've never seen anything like this before in the game...
And also I found one of the new mobs in the game. The glow squid
After exploring for some more time I got carried away and a witch got behind my back out of nowhere and threw a poison potion at me. I quickly ran away trying to protect myself.
I hid in this hole after I sucessfully ran away from her and all the other mobs that were chasing me. It took me 2 gold apples and a loaf of bread just to heal up. I got almost to 1 heart and I thought I was gonna die...my heart was racing. This was intense
I decided to end the episode here and take a break, because I was getting tired and a bit careless and this could've been the end of the series... I truly don't want that anytime soon.
