The reverberations of this crisis will affect much more than the price of oil and gas, although for many the increase in price of this commodity will be the first to be widely felt. Wheat, will go up, which means that basic staples like bread will increase, to say nothing of sunflower oil, which is also widely used worldwide. Even aluminium will become scarce. Maybe, just maybe this crisis will promote alternatives to oil and gas, like hydro-power and solar, maybe people will opt for an electric car for their next purchase.

The price of oil will have a knock on effect across all commodities, though, right now as we feel the fingers of Russian imperialism bite deep into the pockets and wallets of the world, the price of oil and gas seems most prevalent. One wonders what NATO and the West are thinking with their inaction, it’s really weird. I just wish someone would stand up and DO SOMETHING to stop this madness.

The fate of Ukraine and the world are in the hands of so few. Pray, that’s all we seem to be able to do about it right now.
