Dear God
You hold yourself in such high esteem. I guess that’s understandable. My challenge is that you miss the point, sorry to say - but it’s true.
I’ve no problem with death, it’s excruciating death as a result of suffering that I abhor?? The mere idea of immortality is untenable. What I’m after is quality of life - there is nothing if there is no quality in and of life. There is no question, in my mind anyway, that the world and humanity would be better off without extreme suffering - there is no benefit in suffering, none!
If man brings suffering on himself and others, there might be ways to prevent it - socialization, prison, rehab, community service to name a few methods. But...but, we have no control over certain types of suffering; it’s this kind that is untenable, regrettable and abhorrent.
I see that my prayers, dear lord, have been falling on deaf ears and that you’re very smart, indeed, for what better way to get out off the thick of things - just ignore anything you prefer not to deal with.
I hope we have more conversations like this so that we can hash it out and get to the bottom of things.
Your loving servant, as always. 🙏🏽 Amen!
