A few months ago, I was checking into a hotel in Atlanta. I had a reservation and a confirmation from the hotel. But when I got there, it was fully booked. The lady at the reception informed me that the reservation was unfortunately not valid because the hotel was hopelessly overbooked. She said so and left me standing.

I demanded my right. But the only thing the lady said to me was: "If the hotel is full, then it is full. It's not like I can conjure up a room." Quack, quack, quack... She didn't want to deal with me any further."Aha," I thought, "a duck." So I asked for her supervisor. She replied reluctantly: "He won't tell you anything else." With these words she wanted to disappear behind a door. Surely there was a duck pond behind that door and she would have come back with another duck.

I asked her to bring me an eagle. "A what? She wanted to know. I told her, "Bring me someone who doesn't already know it can't be done.She understood that. The manager who came was actually an eagle. He said this: "We're really booked. This must be an oversight of our house, for which I can only apologize. I would like to find a solution for you as soon as possible. I will immediately make a phone call to get you a suite in an adequate hotel where we can >upgrade you to at our expense. May I invite you to dinner in our restaurant?
