Hello, my dear Hivers!
Let me share with you our presentation role play from one of our minor subjects.
If you’ve read my previous blog, you’d know how much effort we put into preparing for this presentation. Aside from delivering our lines, our background and costumes were also graded.
The actual day of our role play presentation...
It all started when one of our groupmates reminded us in the group chat to bring stockings and black cycling shorts for our costumes. We were also told to go to school early so we’d have time to prepare. The plan was to be in the room before 10:30 AM. so we’d have enough time. It was perfect because most of us arrived at the same time. Some were already wearing their leotards under their clothes, and others decided to change in the restroom.
After I finished wearing my leotards, stockings, and cycling shorts, I looked for my feathers since my role was to portray a chick.
We were the first presenters, so I quickly changed while others were still doing their makeup and checking their costumes to see if they looked good and suited them well.
I took the chance to take pictures while I still looked fresh and not haggard!
I also found our eye mask costume—the one with a little beak, perfect for our chick characters.
For our feet, we used hand gloves to help make our chick characters look more convincing.
When it was time to wear the gloves, we were all confused about how to put them on properly since they were actually meant for hands. While figuring it out, we just kept laughing because it looked so funny.
Like I mentioned in my previous blog, there were three groups in our section. Take a look at my friend who was in another group—he was portraying a monkey!
While some were busy fixing their outfits, others were fixing the curtain that would serve as the boundary during the presentations.
Minutes later, we started our performance. Although there were some small mistakes, they weren’t really noticeable to our classmates. Overall, it turned out great!
After all the groups performed, we took a photo with our instructor.
Then, our instructor immediately gave us our scores.
We were so nervous waiting for our grade! When Ma’am started with our group, Group 1, she first gave her comments—she said it was beautiful and that she really appreciated our efforts. She also said she was aware of how many days we spent preparing just to make the performance possible.
Then she announced: our group got a perfect score of 100! And so did Groups 2 and 3! We were so happy with our scores. All the exhaustion, even during class suspensions, was worth it since we spent those times working on our props. Yessss—we were really happy!
Aside from the grades, this role play helped strengthen our bond as classmates and friends. It was truly an enjoyable experience.
