Good day, my dear Hivers!
I just want to share the bonding activity we had recently, which excited me. This kind of moment reminded me of how small things can sometimes uplift us from a long, tiresome day.
It all started after my friends presented their research proposal.
As you can imagine, the pressure and mental exhaustion were real! So, we all agreed we deserved a break — and food was the first thing on our minds. We were really hungry and stressed, thus we needed something to cheer us up.
At first, we couldn’t decide where to eat — classic to us! Choosing a place to eat is always a big deal , because we all have different cravings. Fortunately, our friend Katrien took the initiative of suggesting "barbecue" as an option. Everyone nodded and we were off.
While going there, we passed by this little stalls selling different items from cellphone covers, clothes, knick-knack things, foods and many more. A little window shopping moment before dinner — why not, right?
Just ahead, we spotted the newly opened Crispy King right near the plaza in Bogo City, Cebu. It had just recently opened and looked inviting. Our friend Johan suggested we may try it, but there are a lot of customers that time.
So we walked all the way to Bogo Pantaland, where we were going to eat on some barbecue.
When we arrive, there aren't much people yet; and the views!
Nature really had a way of capturing an audience. Picture dining with a sunset over a beach is a must! It instantly lifted our moods.
While searching for the perfect table, our guy friends started posing for photos, savoring and cherishing the moment. It was fun to watch — everyone was just so relaxed.
Minutes later, we found the perfect table where we could all fit. From our table we could see the table with a variety of sauces. The aroma was mouthwatering!
Later on, upon going to the food area where I could choose the food I wanted to grill and cook, I was still undecided about what and how many to get. After a few minutes, I decided to go on with one pork, chicken skin, and chorizo. I also ordered two servings of “puso” (hanging rice). It was just enough since I don’t eat that much.
I just placed all my food on my friend’s plate so it could be grilled together, and I'll just pay for mine separately.
While waiting for our ordering I take the time to took some pictures and enjoying the view.
When I got back to the table, we took a group selfie.
A few minutes later, our food arrived, and they even gave us free soup — which I loved.
We stayed until evening, and as the sun finally set, it was truly beautiful. It made the whole moment perfect.
After having dinner with my friends, we all went home.
That’s all for now, my dear Hivers. Thank you so much for reading!
