Hey there, Hive friends! It's your favorite newbie blogger, itsmejustine@itsmejustine, back with another exciting chapter. My dad, a carpenter extraordinaire, recently finished a project that blew me away: a gorgeous double-decker table made of rich Porchena wood. Watching him work was seriously inspiring. Seeing that raw wood become something so beautiful and useful was incredible. It's way more than just a table; it's a total testament to his skill and hard work.

The whole thing started when my neighbor – I call her "Auntie" – asked my mom for help. Her Lola was having trouble with their old table; it was too small and gave her backaches. Given my father's expertise as a carpenter and his 9 years of experience, auntie thought he'd be the perfect person to create a new table for her mother.

My dad's not just a carpenter; he's a passionate one. He came home with a huge pile of Porchena – seriously sturdy stuff – from work, practically buzzing with excitement to start. Porchena's known for being super durable and gorgeous, perfect for this table.

Saturday morning, he gathered his tools – nails, wood (obviously!), a hammer, an L-square, and a measuring tape. He explained what each tool did and how important they were to making a really good table. Like, the nails hold everything together, and the measuring tape makes sure everything's perfectly sized.

Watching him work was amazing. He was so precise making the legs – super sturdy and perfectly balanced. At first, I thought one piece of wood for a leg wouldn't be enough, but he totally proved me wrong. He's seriously talented.
Next, he put together the tabletop. He chose the wood pieces so carefully, and the way he put it all together was incredible. The finished top was breathtaking – I seriously couldn't believe how beautiful it looked. I almost didn't want to give it away!

He added a support piece to one side to make it even stronger. Mom even gave him some tuba (coconut wine) to keep him going. It was pretty funny watching him work, fueled by tuba!

After an hour, I thought he was done, but nope! He added another layer, making it a double-decker. His creativity just blew me away. The finished table was stunning; I couldn't wait to see the buyer's face.

When it was finally ready, Dad got it ready for delivery – and guess what? Free shipping! I was shocked how heavy it was when I helped lift it, but totally worth it. Seriously amazing.

My dad's an amazing carpenter – seriously, he's an artist! It's not just his skill, it's the heart he puts into every piece that makes it special. His pure dedication and passion. He's the best dad, and watching him build it was incredible. So excited to share this!
