I promised that after creating an account I would publish some content, so let's give it a try :)
After changing job, I had the opportunity to visit India to transfer knowledge from the team in Hyderabad. As a software engineer living in Poland, I am used to a completely different lifestyle. The difference between the living standards of IT workers and other industries in India is enormous. People living in slums, and tech industry employees hire them to clean their homes and drive them wherever they want.
One situation that left me speechless was the fact that while employees are in the office, these people wait 8 hours outside the office in case their employer wants to go shopping. They are paid only a small percentage of their salary, and one person in the IT industry has several such people.
While companies like Amazon are building huge technology centers here, people are living in the conditions shown in the photo.
This is also a warning sign for the technology industry in Europe. Amazon employs around 14,000 people in its office alone, and opposite Amazon's headquarters, Google is building a huge technology center that looks like something from another world!
But there are also many beautiful places :) Unfortunately, they are not as well maintained as monuments in other countries :(
And finally, an interesting fact: we were probably the only people from a country other than India in this city, so we were the biggest tourist attraction for the locals :)
