Am very much excited to be participating in the weekly contest and this one burst my brain.
Well, even if I haven't been to a date before but atleast I have those beautiful ideas about going on a date.
I'll be sharing with you all my most important rules when going on date.
First of all, when you hear date what usually comes to your mind?
Most people usually think that because he ask me out on a date that means he is going to marry me.No that's wrong.
For me a date is no string attached, sexual relationship.there are sometimes known as friends with benefits, casual dating which are close to the word date,yet it has no romantic connections.
It's just the feeling of seeing someone, hanging out, gisting, getting the know the person more.
My number rule is;
KNOWING EACH OTHER
For me,I believe that before we go on a date we must have met and known each other even before the date.
I don't believe on online dating, because I don't know who you are,what your capable of doing I don't even know if your real, because we have been chatting then you will wake up one day and tell me let's go on a date 馃槖馃槖
You have to Know the person first so that you won't be a victim of circumstances.
PUT YOUR PHONES AWAY
There is nothing that makes me angry than when am communicating with you and you don't give me attention,
Unless,there was an emergency when you left and you will need to be communicating put the phone away, nobody will call you because I believe that before you came for the date you must have let your close ones and friends know about it so that they will be worry less.
At least have a little courtesy and be a gentleman for that period of time and put all the attention and concentration on me.
BE HONEST ABOUT WHAT YOU
WANT FROM ME
Before you asked me to go on a date with you,I believe you had an expectation.
Going On a date is the place to bring up your expectations on the table,if we met through social media,then take time and opportunity to talk about what you want to gain from me,get straight to the point,talk about it there so that I know what to do.
BE OPEN MINDED
You may not love everything I am saying and I expect you to be open about it,you can't really get to know someone if you both are not open minded enough to give them that information,you may give them signs to shut it down but just give them the chance to talk about it.
DON'T DWELL ON YOUR PAST
RELATIONSHIPS AND EXES
Yes!we all have exes,but please we are starting a new phase, don't bring your exes to the picture.
If they ask,be as honest as your comfortable with it.The date is about a new beginning and there's plenty of time to talk about your past if you wish
DON'T FIGHT OVER WHO TO PAY
THE BILL;
On a normal it's our believe that whosoever asked you for the date is entitled to pay
If the other person offer to pay,and your comfortable with it then let them pay it,but if you still insist on paying the half and they won't let you
Then don't fight about it too much to prove your nice especially if you had a wonderful time.
Ending with argument will leave a bad taste.
FINALLY'
DON'T BE SCARED TO CUT THE
NIGHT SHORT:
It's your life and time.just remember that you have families and friends waiting for your arrival.don't let the date exceed a long period of time.Dont force it on him.
