In this post, I shot some pictures of the dramatic skies when the clouds have beautiful shapes and colors.
This is one of the mountains of the Bach Ma range. It was one of my most impressive shots to date. The cloud cover wraps around the peak like a shawl. Also, the lighting was flawless. The sky has a pink and blue hue due to the blue hour, and some of the last light of the day shines on the mountain, making the cloud look more spectacular.
These 3 were taken at a special time for me, it was 2020 summer. I was stuck in Da Nang and not allowed to go out. I spent nearly a month in my room and only saw the outside world on the rooftop of the building. So to clear my mind, I spent feel hours a day on the rooftop and had many amazing cloud photos. I love the first one cus it looks like a dragon rolling from the mountain, its body is burning like lava. It looks so dramatic, like a storm of fire.
These two are special too. I have never seen these kinds of colors in the sky before this. It's like the colors mix up, creating tons of different layers of orange, blue, dark green, yellow...
My favorite image is the last one. It gives me a dreamy feeling as if I were flying to heaven. The fluffy clouds, together with the sun shining above them, remind me of a scene from a movie in which the hero is flying and reaching his hand to the light to go to paradise.
