Lately, camping has been my go-to activity whenever I have free time and invitations from my outdoorsy peers. I've started to love camping since the pandemic came in and when I returned to Cebu for work. I have been struggling with anxiety thinking that we are unable to freely do things as restrictions are being upheld following the pandemic protocols. Traveling to other places became more expensive plus working in the city is stressful. I've always craved escaping the hustle and bustle in the city so I decided to go hiking and camping.

1.) You can breathe oxygen, lots of it.

This may sound funny but I'm excited to go camping for the reason that I could enjoy breathing fresh air without worrying that it's polluted like in the city. This is the perfect time to meditate and take everything slowly.

2.) **Overnight camping with friends can strengthen your bond. **

It's a good activity to spend quality time with friends or family. Normally, there's no cellular network signal at the mountain which means less distraction to enjoy the moment and talk things out with your companions. I personally like that time wherein we gather outside our tents while we prepare dinner and while eating we share laughs and get to know each other more.

3.) **It saves your day from too much screen time. **

If you plan to social media detox even just for a day or two, you might want to go camping. Like what's previously said, you barely get a network data connection at the mountain so you don't get tempted to visit social media apps or dare to call or chat with your friends online.

4.) It improves your interpersonal skills.

If you are an introvert-type of a person like me, it's a great way to improve your communication skills with your companions. I know it's difficult to go along with the conversation for straight hours but you are left with no choice since it's the only thing that you can do at the campsite.

5.) **It helps you discover new skills. **

Whether you're camping alone or with friends, you need to prepare meals for yourself. If you don't normally cook while you're in the city for reasons like fast foods and eateries are just within reach but not in the mountain. You have to plan ahead what to cook for the next meals. You've got no one but yourself not to starve.

That's basically it, I hope you liked this episode and I hope to interact with you in the comment section below. Everyone's glad to hear the stories of yours! Just always remember that learning is a lifetime process. You can learn from your experiences, trips, and from other people. The world is so vast. Explore and Learn! Traveling isn't is as expensive as you think! There's a so-called traveling on a frugal way with a purpose!

DEUCES!

Regards,
