Before
Over time my headlights have become foggier and foggier with accumulations of dirt and chemical debris. Today's headlights are made of plastic and the film that is applied to protect them at time of installation only lasts a few years. Yes, I could go out and buy an expensive kit to renew the clarity of my headlights but I thought I would try the hack I read online. So, I went out and bought a tube of toothpaste. You read correctly; toothpaste.
After
After putting some elbow grease into rubbing the toothpaste into the lens it did indeed clean off a great deal of the haze. It is a cheap fix and works as well as an expensive kit. Neither one last forever and it will have to be done again but there is still plenty of toothpaste left in the tube.
The next hack I will try is to remove rust with cola. Stay tuned.
