I want to state right off the bat that Alcoholics Anonymous is not a cult and they are not a religious organization. These are not the reasons that I have decided to leave.
The most pressing reason I am leaving is that I am tired of many people meddling in my relationship with Jennifer. Yes, it is over between us but I feel that the reason she has decided to leave me is the pressure put on her by her sponsor.
While remaining sober is important and should be the main focus of both our lives, I feel that we could have kept the relationship going and remain sober.
Thre are other reasons as well.
I am going to do my best to stay sober on my own and work the 12 Steps as best as I can.
