From my last post Redefining My Steemit Mission , I mentioned there that “Steemit is Powerful” as it gives every steemian the power to inspire others and be a great model. Steemit offer new possibilities to me, I never thought that I can develop my writing skills while earning. This also led me to meet new people with different perspectives in life that serve as my life mentors.
There are so many great things in steemit and I want it to be shared to everyone.
A week ago, I happened to know @monwalker and his wife @jerelyn a steemian couple from Tacloban City. I salute to both of them because I see how passionate they are in steemit and they really believe that steemit is "life changing" as I do. So, I decided to introduce them to Mr. @iwrite because I know they will be a great help in the steemit campaign of the steemit diversify. I was very glad that all the leaders of the Steemit Diversify mam @antonette, mam @purpledaisy57, sir @iwrite and sir @bobiecayao welcomed them warmly.
Building a steemit community in Samar and Leyte comes with great responsibility. I know that it takes an exceptional leadership skills to manage people with different backgrounds but knowing that I’m with these passionate leaders I know everything can be possible.
Yesterday, I had a meeting with the couple and two other new steemian @madelantonette and her friend.

Community Activities
Seeing that they were very interested I explained to them the basics of steemit like the concept of the Steem Power, Steem and SBD. Also the importance of upvotes, comments and resteem. Which I never thought I would be doing this soon.
We are privileged to talk with the two of our leaders sir @iwrite and mam @purpledaisy57 yesterday. The tips they gave us were very helpful especially for the newbies. They also shared some tips on how to make our articles interesting for the readers.
Steemit is very helpful for the people of Samar and Leyte especially that many people here face poverty every day especially after Typhoon Haiyan destroyed many family, businesses and houses.
We are dubbed as “The Strongest People” on Earth for being resilient to disasters upon disasters and these strongest people have many stories to tell that are worth sharing here in steemit.
This meeting is very special because I know years from now we are going to remember this as a great memory where everything started.
