Let's see the temple that has been around since the 10th century that might make you think and wonder. We will take a virtual trip that I guide with some photos that I took last January when I visited Siem Reap, Cambodia. This is Ta Keo Temple.

I entered from the east entrance because I followed the procedures from the management and got on the tuk-tuk that I rented. Here is the Ta Keo Temple building which is said that the building of this temple was actually never really finished. The king who built it at that time was Jayawarman V who dedicated it to the god Shiva. Of course, the temple is for Hindus.

Often the rumor says that this temple is not ready to be built because when it was built there was a lightning strike so it was said to be unlucky enough to continue it, some also say that the king who built this temple died before the temple was finished being carved. Of course that's just a rumor, but this temple still stands here.

With its beautiful architecture, like a quincunx consisting of 5 towers. 4 towers surrounding one tower in the middle. There is a dense forest around the temple, even if you climb the stairs to the top you will see how this temple is located in a forest with fresh green.

This temple makes me wonder how they built it so well, when it's like a block of stone neatly arranged and high like this. It's quite impressive because it's made of sandstone and is the first temple in the Angkor area made of this material.

Ta Keo Temple is really interesting because the building is quite large and the stairs are quite tiring to climb, more precisely like climbing up. I was too scared to reach the top of the temple because each step made my legs bend so much. I think you have to be really strong to climb Ta Keo Temple.

On our journey, everything here was very interesting because Ta Keo Temple has its own uniqueness. This temple is so minimalist with carvings that are not as many as in Angkor Wat. You should try to come here because each temple has a different feel.

Around the complex there are lots of trees with large trunks and shady leaves. Although the weather in Siem Reap is quite warm, the surrounding forest makes it feel cool. Strengthen your legs because to enter Ta Keo Temple you have to walk quite a distance from the first entrance when a guard checks the entrance ticket you have bought.
