I've been working on this one in my spare time for the last month or so, inspired by H.R. Giger biomechanical style. Scroll down to see the sculpture in progress and the finished product from multiple angles.
I actually started with another male head that I had made earlier this year and transplanted it to this spine and got it a gender swap.
Figuring out the overall shape and composition and adding the boldest elements.
After a few iterations, I came up with this design for the left side.
And this design for the right side.
Which ended up looking like this.
I had a more difficult time figuring out the left side, but after toying a lot with it, I ended up with this.
And here's the final product.
