Saludos amigos de la comunidad Hive Cuba, Precisamente hace unos días mi maestro y maestro de muchas generaciones cumplía 80 años de edad y celebrarlo con un concierto fue la manera perfecta, ya que su orquesta llevaba meses de descanso, pero a quien ha tenido grandes alumnos y amigos no le faltan las gratas sorpresas, es por esta razón que los músicos Abel Acosta y Pancho Amat le hicieron una visita a su viejo amigo y maestro.

Uniendo sus consagradas cuerdas a la de nosotros los más jóvenes, rememorar anécdotas de antaño y acompañar a esa persona que ha dedicado más de 50 años a la noble tarea de enseñar como se hace un guitarrista, habla del cariño que no solo sus alumnos profesan sino cualquier persona en cualquier lugar, más que un maestro es considerado familia.
Al concierto asistieron además artistas canadienses que han compartido escenario con Valentín y vienen a recibir el cariño infinito con cada visita a este país, personas que se han encariñado tanto con Cuba que año tras año donan instrumentos para las escuelas de música.
Cumplir 80 no detiene a quien aún le queda mucho por hacer, es por eso que su compañera de vida María siempre le brillan los ojos cada vez que lo ve en escena, según dice el gran maestro Valentín: hay una magia que donde quiera que convoca a sus alumnos hay una muy buena vibra en cada concierto y eso lo hace muy feliz.

Gracias a él que me mostró el camino a la guitarra y a la música en general he logrado hacer muchas cosas, claro cuando va pasando el tiempo uno aprende mucho más, pues profundiza, pero si él no hubiese confiado en mí y perdido tantas horas para que yo aprendiese un acorde hoy no sería nada, pero no solo yo sino cada músico que ha pasado por sus manos y hoy han tocado el éxito, por esa razón y miles razones más le deseo y estoy seguro de que todos le desean un Feliz Cumpleaños Profe y que vengan muchísimos más.
