I vaguely remember the news about the fall of the Berlin Wall, but I remember Princess Diana's death very clearly. That's my ex-husband's birthday, and I remember crying because she showed her whole life on television, and her (very justified) victimhood made many people love her. I remember hating Charles (I still do, but I'm trying to get over it) because of everything Diana suffered.
Do you know which moment of the attack on the Twin Towers I remember most? The moment the plane (I think it was the last one) crashed into the Tower. I thought, "That man is crazy, he killed himself to hurt others, that's so much hatred." And of course, all the tragedy that it caused. You couldn't see the streets because of the smoke from the fire and the collapsed buildings. It was shocking.
