Heavy rain has melted the snow up on the plateau a few thousand feet above Sedona, which fell during a recent winter storm. Oak Creek is seen here flooding as it moves down and away from town. The water is red as it carries the iron filled sediment away, headed to the Gulf of California.
This water is very powerful and fast moving.
If you fell into the current here you would probably not survive.
