I decided to take part in the contest. And a gopher from the shores of lake Tagarsky will assist me.
In our region, ground squirrels live in the steppe and along the shores of reservoirs. Gophers have many natural enemies, such as kites, foxes, dogs, so these animals are very careful.
But the gophers living in the area of the resort lakes of Shira, Tagarskoye, Bele, Tuz, get used to large numbers of people around during the summer season and visit vacationers, check things and look for goodies.
This gopher was photographed at the beginning of summer, when the holiday season had just begun and the gophers behaved modestly. The gopher's mink was on the very border with the beach, and he timidly watched the people, ready to duck into the hole at the slightest danger.
