Today was the big day! My brother is now a married brother! And I gained a sister! It was a beautiful ceremony!
First the groom greeted everyone from the stage and set the tone of the wedding ceremony. Then I got to start things off with a shofar (ram's horn) blast, which got a lot of people's attention. Then scripture readings and then the ceremony began.
It might be a little unusual, but at one point the bride and groom sang for everyone. Very special!
It was a short ceremony, it had a bit of everything from laughs and tears to joy. The reception hall (garage) was behind the stage which was unexpected for many guests!
The reception was fantastic with snacks for the first few hours, then dinner at 5:00.
The food and deserts were fantastic and it was a great treat for everyone!
The event didn't go late, but my children wore themselves out. My youngest boy fell asleep on daddy, since I didn't want him running around.
All in all, it was a great wedding and wonderful reception among many people we know and love.
