I think I read this as quickly as you wrote it! AU/AG will become valuable, but who would afford it when everyone's first priority will be food / utilities / debts / taxes. Anything left to buy AG or AU? Or even crypto for that matter! If we really see a collapse, the game is over. The only people who will be able to buy our shiny will be the government and there will be some major strings attached. Now TRADE is another thing all together, remove the fiat middle-man. If AG/AU IS money, why would we sell it for money?
