What a person believes in up to the individual, there is no consensus on truth, only reality proves what is true. Would it be shocking to discover that the ancient Biblical understanding of the cosmology may be closer to the truth, than our modern cosmology? Oftentimes, ancient sources of wisdom can give us a clearer view of reality than government agencies and technology.
Who cares about the shape of the earth... HEAVEN IS REAL!
