This is one of the coins that I think will be remembered as a difficult coin to get. According to the US Mint, only about 220K have been minted and they are completely sold out.
We keep hearing the word "shortage" and it seems silver is among the shortages. There are only a limited number of West Point Silver Eagles being minted this year.
Is this particular coin a worthwhile investment? Will it be considered rare someday?
