I was truly surprised that Musk ran that poll.

Twitter has a policy against self harm. The sad truth about social media is that any poll that included an option that involved self harm would end up with a ton of votes encouraging the self harm.

If Musk truly understood the nature of social media; he would have foreseen that the answer to his existential question would have been no.

Were a Twitterer to ask:

Should I jump off this bridge?

A huge number of people would vote "yes" just to be snarky.

It is sad that Musk ran a poll so early in his tenure at Twitter.
