I am writing unsolicited reviews of sites that interface with HIVE. Here is my review of HIVE Onboard.

HiveOnboard is a site by the hiveonboard@hiveonboard team and roomservice@roomservice . It appears to be a primary source for new accounts on HIVE. The hiveonboard-log@hiveonboard-log lists accounts created by the service. (NOTE, I created my account through BlockTrades and was not listed on their page; so, I assume their page shows only the accounts created with their program.)

The reason I didn't use their tool for creating my account was that they asked for a "VIP Ticket." I have no idea what a VIP Ticket is. I think it is a tool that insiders can use to bypass the telephone verification process.

The picture for this review is a screen shot from an infographic about HIVE on their site. The infographic does a fine job introducing HIVE. I like that it emphasizes that accounts need to buy HIVE POWER for their account to work, but does not seem to answer any questions.

Is HIVE Onboard Effective?

I wrote this review yesterday, but put off posting it.

HIVE has a serious problem with user retention. I understand that roomservice@roomservice has spent a great deal of time trying to find solutions to this problem. I asked the question: "Does the HiveOnboard website, in and of itself, provide a solution to the user retention problem.

The answer, of course, is "No." It is up to the HIVE community to retain new users.

HiveOnboard.com would be a great tool if I was sitting in front of a room selling people on HIVE and if I had VIP Tickets in my pocket. I don't think the program effectively sells HIVE. The site, in and of itself, is not sufficient to retain users. Here is the review:
