Today I took an early leave from teleworking because daughter had an appointment. After finished her appointment, I asked if she wanted something to eat around the area. She was not familiar the area, so asked me what they had. I told her that we would get ice cream, mochinut, crumble cookies, or egg tarts. She thought about it, then she said how about Somi Somi.

This ice cream shop was open a year ago in the Costco shopping center. I went to Costco weekly, and sometimes saw people line up outside. If a lot of people are willing to wait on the line to get food, that means that place must offer something good. I often asked the kids if they wanted to check it out, they always said no to me.

Last time their cousins came over to visit us from Los Angeles for a week. She drove them around the town and took them here and there. They tried so many different shops and foods, and Somi Somi was one of them. Four of them all said the soft serve and Taiyaki combined so tasty.

Finally I had a chance to try it today. I told the cashier that it was my first time to try the ice cream here. She explained to me to pick style first, selected type of soft serve flavor, then taiyaki and toppings. I picked upside down, ube, red bean, and Oreo cookies flavor. It costed me $6.95.

My daughter ordered hers and one for her sister. She said her sister also liked it too, and with milk flavor. I was very happy eating ice cream with her in Somi Somi today because I saw that she had a good heart. She told me that we should buy for her sister and gave tips to the cashier. A sweet treat really made my day.
