Today is the Ceaser Chavez day that the State workers have a day off. It is the only day in a year that I have a holiday but not kids. I usually take this day to do some yard work and plant some flowers. Today I did the same.
In the morning, I went to Costco to check out what plants there first. I saw that they had different varieties succulents there, 8 pots for $21.99. That’s a good deal. I grabbed the ones that I liked.
Then we drove to Home Depot. I needed some small annual flowers to plant underneath the roses in front of my house . They had so many different types of annual flowers, but I still chose the same one as what I planted last year. I bought 10 of them with mixed colors.
I started planting them after I got home. I dug a holes on the same areas that I planted the flowers last year in the front yard. Then I separated the flowers in different colors and planted them with the flower soils. I believe after a month or so with the roses blooming in my front yard, it would attract my neighbors to enjoy them like last year.
The eight small plots succulents were planted with the succulents that I had at home, with the new comers, my succulents even looked more pretty in the backyard.
Now a day more and more people like to plant succulents. They are so easy to take care, like watering once a week. Not just that, you can mix them up in the same pot to create an unique beauty. Of cause, you can just plant one in a small pot, and it is still nice.
They are good for indoor decorating or outdoor too. They can really make the areas so different. I take good care of them, and enjoy them. Hope you like them too.
