When we decided to go to visit Hawaii Oahu, my kids were so excided, especially the little daughter. It's her first time to flight on the airplane. We had to get up so early to the airport in that morning, and the kids woke us up like four o'clock. We got to Oahu around 11am, and we followed the GPS driving to the hotel. When the kids saw a KFC on the way, they said that they needed something to eat. OK, we walked in, and we saw them selling white rice. What the surprise was. The second day we stopped by Outback Steakhouse, and they had white rice on the menu too. In my city, KFC or Outback Steakhouse would not offer white rice.
We went to hiking in the Diamond Head the second day. My friend already told me to go very early due to we drove there. The parking space was very limited. Luckily, we found a parking space. The trail is not hard and also the most popular hike in Oahu. It was started from the volcanic crater and all the way to the top of the rim where panoramic view await. The first four pictures that I took there, how fantastic!
We loved to walk to the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort at the time we stayed in Oahu. The kids could play on the beach or the water, and I just sat on the beach to make sure they were ok. I also would go to the bar next to the beach to get a drink or joined them playing on water. How relax!
That's the most memorable trip we even had. We went back to Oahu the second time couple years later, but I was sick the second day. So we felt the first time there having much more fun. Maybe we also already experienced the fun places the first time, so not much excitement after. One day after the pandemic is over, I still want to go back to Oahu to explore more of the island. Hope the pandemic ending soon, so we can go freely to everywhere.
