Since I had a New Year resolution to exercise more and tried to lose some weight, I went out to hike on the trails more. Most of the trails are built next to the rivers and creeks, so of cause, I would encountered with a lot of animals, beavers, ducks, geese, egret, turtles... I saw a lot of wild ducks swimming in the ponds, rivers , or even creeks,

We have the wild life agencies as Federal and State levels, and a lot of wild animals are well protected. In certain time of the year, government allows people who buy a license to hunt ducks, but you have to know what you can hunt and how many of the ducks can be hunted in a season. If you don’t, I would recommend you don’t do so. You may get heavy fine if get caught by the agent.

Ducks in here are get used to disturb by human. Even though I walked close to them last time, they were still not scare and enjoy their time with their partner or family in the pond. I saw seven ducklings swan around their mommy. They were still so small and had yellow fluffy feathers. They were super cute.

All of us are needed respect, also including ducks. I enjoy watching them having a good time eating, playing, and freely fly in the sky.
