I loved to go to Huntington library when I lived in Los Angeles. I went with a group of friends to take pictures in my most beautiful age, went with my boyfriend when we were dating, went with my kids when they were young.,, I like the desert garden the most even though there were many different gardens there.
When I saw those parodia cactus in the desert garden the first time, my jaw was dropped. I never could imagine the parodia cactus growing that huge. The camera was not function well and still use the film in the 90s. I still took a lot of pictures of them.
After I had a better camera and no longer using films, I took much more pictures of different type of cactus. I enjoyed seeing the picture of them, and they also brought back my old memory of the good times there.
It is not easy to see that many types of the cactus flowers in one place, probably except this place. All the cactus flowers pictures were taken from there. Hope you like these pictures.
