Greetings dear community, my son is a big fan of the anime One Piece and a while ago he had asked me to make him an amigurumi of the character Chopper, who is a very cute reindeer who is the doctor of the pirate crew, so the day finally came when I fulfilled his request 😊

Proceso / Process

For this mini version of Chopper, I used thick acrylic yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. I started with red yarn, working 6 single crochet stitches into a magic ring, followed by 2 rounds of increases to reach a total of 18 stitches. In the third round, I created the legs using two puff stitches in dark brown, spaced 6 stitches apart. I continued with a round of red single crochet stitches with a light-brown border, then a round in brown, followed by a round that included the arms—also made using puff stitches, just like the legs. I finished the body with a round of 6 decreases, bringing the total to 12 stitches.

For the head, I continued with a round of 6 increases, worked even with 18 single crochet stitches for 7 rounds, inserted the eyes with 4 stitches between them, stuffed the piece, and finished with 6 decreases over 3 rounds.

For the hat, I worked 8 single crochet stitches into a ring, followed by a round with 8 increases. In the next round, I made 4 increases; then, working only into the back loops, I crocheted 20 single crochet stitches and continued straight for another 5 rounds. For the hat brim, working only into the front loops, I made a round with 10 increases, followed by a round of slip stitches. For the reindeer antlers, I used a double strand of thin yarn and a size 0 crochet hook; I made two pieces, each consisting of 6 single crochet stitches worked over 2 rows, then joined them together with 3 single crochet stitches, and continued with 6 single crochet stitches for 3 more rows. I sewed the hat onto the head and the antlers onto the sides, and finally, I embroidered the cross using white yarn.
