He carefully pulled me out of the club to his car, it was dark but I could see he had taste from the Audi A7 he used. I was surprised when he packed in front of oriental hotel because I thought we were headed to his house. Well, perhaps it's d way its supposed to be I thought. The good girl in me subtly told me to not see the decision through but the wild girl in me told me to live a little and that was exactly what I did.
We entered the hotel and he told me to wait at the lobby while he get us a room which I did. Not long after he left, my phone rang I quickly opened my clutch only to discover the caller was Femi I ended the call and switched off my phone as I struggled to put the phone in my clutch Adekunle came and told me the room was ready.
We took an elevator because the suite he paid for was on the topmost floor. The elevator ride was awkward and I was beginning to get nervous when I heard the 'ding' sound. I stepped out of the elevator and he opened the door. I gasped, the room was huge and not to mention elegantly beautiful I was so engrossed taking in my surroundings when Adekunle said 'like what you see?'
I shyly nodded yes.
He then slowly came towards me, I moved back a little when he got to my front. 'Don't run away from me' he said gently holding my waist like he did on the dance floor. Slowly he started nibbling my ear and I shuddered feeling his breath on me. 'Stay still Charis' I got you he said. Hearing those words I relaxed and gave in to pleasure.
The kiss was passionate and filled with want and throughout the night he gently and slowly made love to me or so I think.
I jolted awake to find myself in an unknown surrounding after a while the event of last night came rushing back to me. I jumped out of bed and quickly dressed up taking a one last look at Kunle in a peaceful slumber I opened the door and left.
I called an uber gave him directions. I spent the ride home thinking and oddly enough I did not feel any regret. I got to my front door only to find Femi pacing he turned around and saw me
Where were you last night?? His voice boomed
'It's none of your business' I said I fumbled with my keys trying to open my door to get in I was about turning the knob when his hand yanked me back
'don't you dare walk out on me when I'm not done talking ' he yelled at me
'Leave me alone Femi, I owe you no explanation and you have no right to be angry with me I am not obligated to you in any way am I clear? ' I yelled back at him.
'You were with another man last night, am I right Charis? He said softly.
I looked back at him turned the doorknob and went inside my apartment. I leaned against my door and that's when realization hit me, the gravity of what I've done and it all hit me like a tidal wave.
I spent the rest of the day cooped up on my bed. After a hours of sleep cry and then sleep some more I told myself, 'Charis you have a big day at work tomorrow do not let this weigh you down' with a resolute mind I went to bed.
My alarm clock rang I groaned and as I tried to get out of bed I hit it and it fell. Note to self: get another alarm clock I told myself.
By the time I finished dressing up with uptown funk playing in the background I was already in a very good mood. I picked up the files containing my big presentation picked a cab in front of my apartment.
I got to work on time and decided to go over my presentation one more time. At exactly 7:50 am I walked into the board room plugged in my flash drive into my laptop and waited for the directors.
