Léon: The Professional "Summary"
In the movie, we see a little girl's conflicts with her irresponsible step-family. The neighbor, who witnessed these from afar, is also a "hitman". Being a hitman does not prevent him from showing mercy to women and children. And when he sees the girl smoking on the stairs of his apartment, he tells her not to smoke.
The girl's father is in trouble with the narcotics cops. When the girl left the house to go to the market, the police raided her house. When she returns, she sees her family murdered. The girl who still has cops in her house is very smart. She knocks on the door of the "hitman" neighbor right in the hallway. The shooter is aware of what happened and chooses to open the door to save the girl's life.
The girl has nowhere to go and insists on staying with this unknown man. She's learning the man's name, Leon. Learning that Leon is a hitman, the first thing she asks is how much money he needs to avenge his family. She convinces Leon to stay with him. She's learning hitmanship from Leon. As they spend time together, this little girl falls in love with the hit man.
Leon is a lonely man, probably in his 30s. The little girl who entered his life changes something in him. They start plotting assassinations together. Over time, the man also feels something for the girl, "love". But he never touches she.
While he was back to doing things alone, so as not to endanger the girl. The girl finds the police in the police building to avenge her family, but is caught. Leon saves the girl, but he's left with clues to lead them. They sleep side by side for the first time since this rescue, and we learn that the man had a bad relationship in the past. The girl's father killed his lover because of this forbidden relationship.
The police catch the girl as she returns from the grocery store and they try to break into the apartment to kill the man, but the man is a professional and gets past the cops and takes the girl who is being held in the hallway. He somehow gets her, Mathilda, out of the building, but he is shot by the police himself. Then he detonates himself with bombs with the police. After that, the girl goes back to school the same day.
His best friend, the plant that the shooter carries with him all the time, takes care of its leaves, gets rid of that building with Mathilda, and Mathilda plants it in the school garden. So she hopes she and Leon will be comfortable there.
