Sometimes we pick up the language of those around us without giving it second thought. I have slowly trained myself out of calling a group of people "guys" just because I want to live in a more female based society and "guys" is male based. Sometimes we aren't so conscious about the language we are inherently making a part of us.
"That's so funny I could die!" Is a speech pattern I hear that I don't believe people really mean. Pay attention to your words, they are important and an extension of your inner being.
