Predawn glow at Glen Helen Gorge on the Finke River. Thought to be perhaps the oldest identifiable river still seasonally flowing in the world it predates the mountains around it which formed in an uplift 300-400 million years ago. The gorge is located in the West MacDonnell National Park or Tjoritja in the Northern Territory of Australia.
