Well, it's 40 hours total. But we were not going to drive at night and we have 3 kids, so subjecting them to anything more than the Kansas to Austin drive (11 hours) could have been seen as child abuse, hahaha. Just kidding, but we didn't want screaming kids the whole way. The goal was to enjoy the drive and adventure of the unknown vs. just getting there fast.

Some people are built for the road, and others aren't. Nothing to be upset about in terms of your wife :)
