Train a newbie before Delegate Hive Power

The Hive platform is a decentralized platform and because of the decentralization, it gives us full access to our assets. It is the reason because of what the Hive has become popular in recent times. Many new users are joining each day and I am feeling very much happy to see the growing Hive.

When I joined in this platform I was unable to understand the potential of this platform. I never realized the true power of Hive and nobody was here to make me understand about it because I joined here without anyone's reference when I saw a Hive post on another web 2.0 platform. I joined here and I left again because of difficulties in understanding the system of Hive which is quite natural. Fortunately, one online friend helped me to understand the system but it wasn't enough for me to keep me motivated because she was also new to this platform but I must say that I have learned many things from her about Hive. As I wasn't motivated, I left this platform several times.

It's true that I left this platform and didn't make any comment or post for several months but I never left this platform. I used to read some posts whenever I got time and after a certain time I realized the true power of Hive by reading some posts. I can't actually remember whose post motivated me too much but I decided to come back strongly. After making the decision at first I faced the problem of Resource Credit (RC). I had very little Hive Power (HP) but it was far than enough for me to remain active. In that time no delegation was active for me. Maybe it's because I was inactive for several months.
I was able to know that high power is the solution to everything. So little by little I earned some and I converted all my HBD into Hive and then powered up. I can still remember how much I struggled to gain 30 Hive Power (HP). I will never forget it.

Compared to that time the newbies in the current time are very lucky. Because various kinds of onboarding programs are continuously running to help a newbie and try to give them the proper knowledge of the Hive platform and make them understand the true power of Hive and how to get used to this platform. I wish it was available at that time when I joined this platform. So that, I might not stay away from Hive for several months. Sometimes I really regret for my inactive days when I could have grown here more.

In recent days I have noticed that many newbies are receiving 2k or 3k Hive Power (HP) delegation. The amount is indeed huge and it can easily resolve the resource credit problem. In fact, it's more than enough for them and in my opinion, I feel it's too much for them. Why did I say too much? OK, I am explaining.

Naturally, one user needs approximately more than 1 year to gain 2k Hive Power (HP) and they get it because of their hard effort. So, I feel it's too much for a newbie. From one point of view it's a blessing for them but from another point of view I think too much power should not given to them. I am stating the reason and then a solution.

Firstly the newbies don't have enough knowledge about voting power and for them maintaining the vote power as well as the best use of the delegated Hive Power (HP) is not so easy. I have seen many newbies not using the vote power means they are wasting the vote power and not using the delegated Hive Power (HP) wisely. I believe that if that power is given to an experienced user then they could use it smartly and so the vote power would not be wasted although I think it's not the solution which I want.

I think at the beginning they should give little delegation to the newbies suppose 50/100 Hive Power (HP) for enough Resouce Credit (RC) to remain active. Then before giving them a 2k or 3k delegation, they should know how to make the best use of voting power. So that after receiving the delegation the delegated Hive Power (HP) will not be wasted. And the onboarding program can take the responsibility to teach newbies to make the best use of voting power. So that it will be the best thing for the Hive and no voting power will be wasted.
